Shoot for Outback Rodeo Jeans

Written by admin
July 30th, 2010

Last Monday we had a big day shooting images for the Outback Rodeo Jeans brochure and website. We bought some hay bales and some corrugated iron sheets for the outdoor shots to get that country look.

Four models, mum’s and clients made it a fun day and luckily the weather was good for our outdoor shots. Thanks to Elisha Medcalf and Rob Bampton who appear in the first photos to be finished. They did a great job of pulling off the country couple.

Advert shoot for Loose Kid Industries (LKI)

I’ve been doing the photography for Loose Kid clothing for some time now but recently I designed a couple of t-shirts for LKI too.

The were based around an idea Jason at Loose Kid had of sweets pouring out of a pack and are now called the Fruit Tees. The Jason wanted to do an advert and posters to promote the new shirts in FMX magazine and stores so last week we photographed this image for the ad.

Was fun to do as we had Gibbs ‘roosting’ Harley with $500 worth of Skittle sweets. Only had so many attempts to get it right so I was very happy the way it came out. See the full size one in a magazine near you soon.

Loose Kid clothing shots

Sometimes you take people on face value and forget who they really are when you shoot for commercial clients and Jay Wilson reminded me of the caliber of people who I shoot sometimes.

Jason Daniel from Loose Kid clothing (www.loosekid.com.au) brought Jay over for a quick product shoot. Jay has just won the 85cc World Motocross Championship and has become Australia’s first ever motocross world champion in any category.

Also in this gallery is Super Cross rider Daniel McCoy and the reigning Australasian Super X Lites Champion, Matt Moss.

Last week I was at the local Foodworks at 1am shooting Matt Moss for a photo that will be used in a magazine advert for Loose Kid Industries clothing (www.loosekid.com.au).

The idea was for a fun shot of Matt Racing through the store in a mini bike having grabbed a basket full of shopping he maybe shouldn’t. Once we had a shot it was obvious we really needed a second person so I persuaded Jason (Loose Kid owner) to appear in the background.

Once the advert is done I’ll put up the final version but here’s the first shot.

Been shooting all day so retouching has slowed to a crawl :-)

Here’s a few though that I liked from the shoot with Angela. I tried a grungier treatment on this one.

Shoot for Angela and Sex Kitten

Written by admin
June 12th, 2009

Had a big day yesterday shooting work with Angela Hill and Sex Kitten lingerie (www.sexkitten.com.au).

Angela we know well on here but this was the first time I’d shot Sex Kitten lingerie and clothing.

I have to say, client or no client, the clothing was simply stunning, so high quality and just looks gorgeous in photos. I wish I had a truck load of their underwear for clients to use in shoots :-)

Karen and I work from a large house half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and, as well as the studio downstairs, we have been adding props to shoot around the house to give clients more options for backgrounds for artistic, portrait or fashion shoots.

Karen created a Native American inspired costume that Angela modeled at the end of the shoot on our new Indian doors. The new Chaise got a workout, as did our new antique chair.
