It’s been a little while since I compiled a review of recent work so here’s some shots we’ve worked on lately. Just click ‘readmore’ to view the gallery.

Our main site contains all of our galleries which contain hundreds of images. Click here for artistic, fashion, boudoir, fantasy and portrait photo galleries.

We are always adding options for your shoot and we’ve just added some shots to the folio that use some new props and backgrounds. Click below to see our set and prop options.

The following gallery contains shots that use our set and props in different ways. All the backdrops we have here, many of the featured clothing items we also have here for your shoot, depending on sizes.

All these shots were shot at our home studio and any of these styles can be used for your shoot.

On Wednesday we did a shoot with Lisa who did some boudoir and a bit of fashion too.

Lisa was great and we had a lot of fun as you’ll see from Lisa’s ability to smile on cue :-)

Thanks to Lisa for permission to use the shots on the blog, we always appreciate been able to share client work with everyone.

Kat and Aaron

Things have been pretty full on lately with work and the arrival of a lot of new furniture for our new sets. Had a big day last week collecting chaise’s and sofas from the Port of Brisbane in 35 degree heat. That was a tough day :-)

In the next two weeks we will have some wonderful new settings for boudoir, nude and portraits. We ordered all these items to be made last September in China so it’s been a long term project to get these sets together. I’m happy to say the items that arrived exceeded our expectations and I am very excited to get our test shoots done soon and start shooting clients on them.

So with all that’s going on, blog updates have almost ground to a halt but here is a few nice shots I did last weekend for Katherine and Aaron. Thanks to them for permission to use the shots here.

Our blog contains news and info but if you want to view our main site, which has all of our galleries and folio images, click here www.deanagar.com.au

New gallery for male photography.

Written by admin

What do they say about men and women? Something about women are from venus and men are from mars?

It seems to apply to photography as I almost never get permission to use shoots from guys, particularly artistic shoots.

Over time you just accept it but as Mathew kindly allowed me to use the shots from our shoot last week, I decided to collect some male shots and put up a new gallery on the main site. (click here for the main site)

It would be nice to have as many guys in the folio as girls but this is a start. Whether you’re a muscle bound 20 something or a 50 year old full of character and charisma, the studio is not just for your better halves.

You might love shots of your partners but they equally love shots of you. After all they chose you as their number one guy :-) Pay them back once in a while.

Fun mum and daughter shoot with Belinda and Shannon

Things have been so hectic recently that I’ve not had a moment to do any blog updates so this is the first one in a while.

Last week Belinda and her 14 year old daughter, Shannon, came in for a fun shoot. We shot a couple of fantasy shots with Shannon playing ‘rock chick’ using a digitally added stage.

Belinda did a few elegant evening wear shots and they did a couple of fun ones together.

Here’s some of the shots. Thanks to Belinda and Shannon for allowing me to use their shots here.

It’s amazing what the right light and Photoshop can do to a person. Here’s another test I did, using myself as the model. I also did a variation with Angela and myself.

I think it’s worth noting again that I’m not really this creepy, and I can supply references to that effect if needed. Angela is that creepy and required no Photoshop at all. Only kidding :-)

Angela Hill Retrospective

Forgive the pretentious title but as I’ve shot Brisbane model Angela Hill for her portfolio more times than any other model I thought I’d post photos going right back to the start. The first shot has become known as ‘Rosebed’ and is currently number 2 of all time in Fashion on photo.net. A pesky photographer from Las Vegas knocked it off the number one spot after a reign of 3 years!

I think Angela and I have both improved a lot over the last few years. At least I hope we have!

New shoot with Angela Hill

An old favourite of mine and one of the first models I ever shot, came back today for another shoot. This is the first since October 2007 so it was good to see how we have both progressed.

I’ve put up a gallery of Angela Hill images going back to our first shoot here. The new shoot is below.

So far I’ve retouched a few shots and they are below. As I work on others I’ll post them here as well as add them to the main folios as they are shaping up very well.
