Any regular visitors will have seen the development of the mermaid shots recently. These started when Cassandra asked me to produce a mermaid shot of her, as a gift for her husband.
I ended up doing quite a few options but this one was the original. I gave the print to Cassandra for Dave’s birthday last week and today I got a great email which made my day

Hi Dean,
Just to let you know what Dave thought of the photo.
Well, he absolutely loves it.
I got him to close his eyes while I laid it out on the table. When he saw it, he got tears.
He stared at it for over 15 minutes and was rendered speechless, which is not like him.
He says it is the most beautiful picture he has ever seen.
It was certainly money well spent, very worth it.
We both thank you so very much for all the time and effort you put in.

Photographing people in the nude (them nude, not me. That would be weird is a responsibility I believe you have to take very seriously.
A person modelling nude is vulnerable in a way they have likely not been before and the experience can be a daunting one, even for someone brimming with confidence.
When I get an email like the one below, I do feel the need to share on the blog, as it’s so nice to hear from people that the experience was a positive one. When a client is happy for us to use the shots on the blog and web galleries it’s doubly rewarding.

I was admiringly surprised at the outcome of the shots when we reveiwed and am anticipating the actual shots.! Dame and I kept going over and over on the way back anticipating we may have left something out.!!
Yesterday was an experience I will always remember and hopefully get another chance to do sometime soon.
As discussed we would love to make a decision on the shot that will be mounted for our wall as soon as you are ready, no rush. We are happy to pay the total as above upon picking up the pic’s.
As for using the photo’s this is fine (let me know if it hit’s your website and I’ll alert my friends).
