Boudoir shoot with Jennifer

We now have a new travel record for a client 
We’ve photographed people from Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand, India, USA, England etc but never anyone who drove 15 hours to get here, specifically for a shoot.
Luckily Jen stayed with relatives the night before so she was fresh and energized for the shoot.
One thing I rarely mention, which I should, is that 90% of the people we shoot are normal people (awful word i know), in that they are not models and most have never done a shoot before.
For us there’s a lot of joy taking a journey with someone to show them that they look great, and watch their confidence in themselves grow through the day as they begin to see themselves as we see them.
I hope Jen won’t mind me saying here that she was very nervous, and none too confident when we started. But she took the brave step of doing a shoot with us, and now she has the following shots to show everyone what her husband has been telling her for a long time. She looks amazing and now she has the photos to look at every time she doubts it in the future
And for the sake of our ego, here’s Jen’s email from yesterday after she saw the shots.
“OMG!! just had a quick flick through….. they’re amazing! i love them. please give me a couple days to sort through and get back to you with the final selection.
Dean you’re a legend!! Karen you did a great job too

Congratulations on a fabulous set of boudoir photographs! It is rare to see such a variety of styles and moods in one hit. The results are all fabulously rich and sumptuous and it is hard to believe your client was nervous at all – she looks amazing in every picture.

Thanks for the kind comments David.
I believe you have to take the clients feelings very seriously. It might be the 3000th time I’ve shot but it’s their first time, so you have to make sure they are relaxed and comfortable, so that the shots look as natural and as professional as possible.
We worked very hard on getting as many options in our home studio as we could to give clients the best value for their shoot and it’s definitely paying off when a shoot has so many styles in there.
