Pregnancy shoots

I don’t always get permission from clients to use their shots in my folio, so to build the folio I often have to use models for certain shots.

Currently around 70% of the folio is client work which pleases me no end. It’s great when clients love their shots and feel comfortable enough to give permission to share their private images with everyone.

For some shoots though it can be tough to get folio images due to the obvious privacy issues of some clients.

One area that proves to be a huge problem is pregnancy shots. I have done some great shots for clients but have failed to get permission to use most of them so far.

It’s got to a point where it’s beyond a joke really and needs to be rectified soon

In return for usage I will shoot for $175 and that will include 4 retouched 8×12 inch prints worth $300. This offer will be open until i have enough new shots to fill a new pregnancy gallery on the site.

Interesting shoots

Been a photographer is as much about the location and model as it is the technical and creative ability.

I am always open to offering discounted rates if a shoot offers something that catches my interest or would look amazing in the folio.

For example, I’m a big F1 fan so any shoot that got me into the F1 paddock would be highly discounted

Shooting in interesting places that people have unusual access to is always a bonus. Luxurious houses, million dollar boats, 1950’s cars and planes, a Boeing 747 or an old factory full of cool rusty equipment. You get the idea.

This applies to interesting people too. Any shoot that put me in a room with David Bowie or Leonard Cohen would be completely free of charge!

Photography is as much about fun as it is about running a business. The more fun, the better the result and the cheaper it gets for the client.
