Steampunk photography portraits for children and teens

Steampunk teen photography
W e love steampunk photography, and earlier this year, before COVID turned the world upside down, we purchased some steampunk photography props and outfits for children and teens. At the moment most of our outfits are for girls but we are planning on adding some costuming for boys in the future. One of our favourite pieces is a clock handbag which we found when we saw “Cirque” earlier this year. The handbag which is shown in the images below is actually a working clock with the addition of a battery. We just love to use is as a prop though.

We had a lot of fun producing some Steampunk inspired images to add to our child portraiture portfolio.

Steampunk is a retrofuturistic subgenre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. … Such technologies may include fictional machines like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.

Now that we are back doing sessions we can’t wait to do some more and try different things.
